Adding A Payment Method

To participate in auctions on HiBid, most sellers require a valid credit card on file. Here’s how to add a payment method to your account:

1. Go to “Payment Methods”

  • Sign in to your HiBid account.

  • Click your name in the top-right corner to open the profile menu.

  • Select “Payment Method” from the dropdown.

2. Add Your Credit Card

  • On the Add Payment Method screen, enter your credit card details.

  • Be sure to complete all required fields (card number, expiration date, billing address, etc.).

  • Click Save when finished.

Note: Prepaid cards and some virtual cards may not be accepted.

3. Credit Card Verification Hold

When you add your card, your bank may show a temporary authorization hold ($1.00 or $0.00).

  • This is not a charge—it’s used to confirm your card is active.

  • The pending amount will automatically drop off your account within a few days.

This verification helps sellers ensure that your card is valid before allowing you to bid.

Need to Update or Remove a Card?

  • You can return to the Payment Method section at any time to edit or delete your stored card.

  • If you're bidding in multiple auctions, make sure your payment info is up to date to avoid delays in approval.
