Understanding Invoices through HiBid for won items

Understanding Invoices through HiBid

After an auction ends, each auctioneer is responsible for generating and sending invoices to winning bidders. Invoices contain important information about your purchases, payment instructions, and pickup or shipping details.

This guide explains how and when you can expect to receive an invoice after bidding.

When Will I Receive My Invoice?

  • Timing Varies by Auctioneer:
Most auctioneers send invoices within a few hours to 1 business day after the auction ends.

  • Check Auction Terms:
Specific invoicing and payment timelines are usually listed in the auction's terms and conditions.

  • Weekends & Holidays:
If an auction ends on a weekend or holiday, invoices may be delayed until the next business day.

How Will I Receive My Invoice?

  • Email Notification:
Most auctioneers send invoices via email to the address associated with your HiBid account.

  • HiBid Account:
There is currently not a way to view your invoice through your HiBid account. You will need to contact the auctioneer that you purchased the item from. You find out who the auctioneer is by going to "My Account" > "Past Bids".

  • Direct Contact:
Some auctioneers may call or text you, especially for large purchases or if payment is overdue.

What's Included in the Invoice?

Each invoice will typically include:

  • List of items you won

  • Hammer price (final bid amount)

  • Buyer's premium (if applicable)

  • Sales tax (if applicable)

  • Any additional fees (e.g., shipping, handling, title fees)

  • Total amount due

  • Accepted payment methods and deadlines

  • Pickup or shipping instructions

Haven't Received an Invoice?

If it's been more than 1 business day since the auction ended and you haven't received an invoice:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder

  2. Contact the auctioneer directly using the "Contact Auctioneer" button on the auction page

Important Notes

  • HiBid does not generate or send invoices. Each auctioneer manages invoicing and payment individually.

  • Always review auction terms before bidding to understand invoicing timelines and payment requirements.

If you have questions about an invoice, please reach out to the auctioneer listed in the auction's contact information. HiBid support does not have access to individual auctioneer invoices or payment systems.
